Sara and Spencer’s winter wedding at the Woodstock Inn was nothing short of spectacular. Sara and Spencer now live in Boston together but met at the University of Vermont so Vermont is a very special place to them. These are two friends of mine and I absolutely loved capturing their perfect snowy day!
Vermont Winter Wedding at the Woodstock Inn
The Woodstock Inn in the heart of Woodstock, VT is an iconic venue that is beautiful any time of year, but especially in the winter. You only get sunny, “bluebird” winter days every once in a while in Vermont and Sara & Spencer certainly got one of those rare days. The sun is shining and the fresh snow was glistening – the combo was such a gift! It made for an amazing backdrop for outdoor photos.
A Black-Tie Winter Affair
The emerald green color scheme was perfect for a winter wedding. I adored all of the details from the envelopes of their invitations to the bridesmaid dresses. Sara and Spencer both got ready with their bridal parties at the Inn before heading outside into the charming downtown for the first look and portraits. The bride’s dress with the long lace sleeves and buttons up the back was so classic and elegant. She paired it with white fur while outside and she looked stunning! The groom and groomsmen also looked classic and handsome in their tuxes with bow ties.
The Inn was decorated beautifully. The floral setup for the ceremony along the pillars was gorgeous. The candlestick candles covering the tables gave their reception an intimate vibe. Everyone enjoyed dancing and celebrating Sara and Spencer!
