Kate and Curtis planned a special and intimate Airbnb elopement wedding in the mountains of Cavendish, Vermont. Kate and Curtis met at work and eventually started dating so when Curtis proposed in Acadia National Park, they knew getting married in the mountains was the perfect fit.

Beautiful Vermont Micro Wedding

I truly love photographing these simple and understated micro weddings! They found a beautiful rental home with stunning mountain views and a circular patio for their outdoor ceremony. The town of Cavendish has the charming small town New England feel, close to Okemo mountain. The house has since sold (otherwise I would share it with you!), but there are many similar rental homes available in Vermont for elopement weddings!

Their ten family members stayed with them at the house so they got to spend so much time together celebrating. The location couldn’t have been more perfect!

Airbnb Elopement Wedding

Kate and Curtis each got ready with their immediate family by their side. Once they were ready their family member each took a seat, (just four on each side!) and waited for Kate to walk down the aisle. Curtis’ sister officiated their ceremony, which was very special, and they each shared their own vows. Afterward, we spent some time wandering the property and taking some stunning portraits! The architecture was so unique and captivating. I love when Kate stood in front of the big wooden door!

I loved the simplicity of the day! It reminded me of my own wedding and how they chose to include just their closest family in their day. It truly shows the most important part of the wedding day is celebrating their love for each other.
