Ashley & Clayton | August 5, 2017 | Connecticut
Even all the way up until the morning of Ashley & Clayton’s wedding, it was a 100% chance of rain & thunderstorms. I had my rain boots & clear umbrellas ready, but the skies cleared and the sun came out for their wedding day! I think Ashley & Clayton’s wedding included all the elements, so every time I turned, there was something different to photograph. 2 dresses, a backyard ceremony, 3 flower girls, a getaway car, a photo op with their cat, a train ride, a wedding at an old mill, and one heck of a dance party!
I first got connected with these two through Clayton’s sister, Christine, who was a bridesmaid in one of my 2014 weddings & also recommended me for another wedding in 2015 (you’re the best Christine!). I got to see Ashley & Clayton’s restored farm home last winter for their winter engagement session there, when I met them for the first time. These two high school sweethearts are so sweet together and have been waiting a long time to say “I Do.” They finally became husband & wife with an exchange of vows in their backyard, before riding an old fashioned steam train to their reception at the Lace Factory. Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs!
