Who here is ready for some sunshine?! I keep seeing photos on Facebook & Instagram of blooming flowers, green grass & sunshine… Apparently spring is still making it’s way north because we have approximately 2 blooming trees here in Hanover (and a few daffodils… thanks Co-op!)
I started off this weekend by photographing a local event here in the Upper Valley at the Montshire Museum of Science. These ladies really went all out with the decor– the museum was filled with yellow & gray decor, hand-sewn kites hanging from the ceiling, & a matching yellow specialty cocktail. Well done. The annual auction raised money for the museum and was a great way to catch up with past portrait clients & to meet new people! Not only did I photograph the auction, but there was also a KDP portrait session up for grabs. I could only hope the highest bidder would land somewhere near the value price but after the silent auction closed I found out that it went for above value price! ABOVE! I was blown away and can’t wait to photograph the winning family!
To be honest, I’m not much of a reader. I wish I was, but I’m just not. Occasionally I’ll find a book that peaks my interest and I think any time away from looking at a screen, whether it be my iPhone, laptop or the TV is a much needed break for my brain. This weekend I started reading Mindy Kaling’s book, “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? And other concerns.” So. Funny. If you’ve read Ellen’s book or any of Chelsea Handler’s books, you’ll love this one.
I had my first outdoor session last week! Like most other days, it started off rainy & cold so I thought we were going to have to reschedule the session but then the sun made an unusual appearance just in time for things to dry up! John had a 1 year old session with an adorable cake setup followed by some outdoor playtime in his adorable bow tie. I mean, come on. That face + those sneakers…. You’re not going to want to miss his blog post coming later this week!
