For those of you who know me, or at least have read my “10 things” blog post, you probably already know that I was a dancer. Dancing in college was life changing for me– It’s where I met some of my best friends on the planet, where I spent the most time, where I poured in the most energy (sorry academics), where I danced alongside beautiful dancers late into the night (rehearsals start at 10pm, what?!). UVM Orchesis Dance Company was where I belonged. Where I was a part of something amazing. Orchesis Dance Co is completely student run & student choreographed and puts on 2 amazing shows every year that includes not only their own pieces, but they invite other dance groups on campus to perform as guests alongside them. It’s really quite something. Ask anyone who has been.
Well this weekend, these dancers certainly did not disappoint! Their show was early this year (usually it’s about a month later which means more rehearsal time) and it was amazing as ever. I got to spend Friday night & Saturday back in my college town of Burlington, VT…. visiting with friends, eating the most delicious food, watching the afternoon show & photographing the night show. The photos from the first half of the night show are posted to my Facebook page (see it HERE)… for all you patient dancers, the 2nd half will be up today!
