Happy Monday everyone! I have a lot to celebrate this week because the countdown is on… 5 DAYS UNTIL I SEE CELINE DION IN CONCERT! Face-to-face. Kind of. I mean there will be some chairs & a stage separating me and her but I will be in the same room as CELINE. DION. Excited doesn’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling. At the end of last week, I was feeling a little (and by a little I mean a lot) envious of all the United 2014 postings I was seeing from fellow photographer friends & idols heading to California to what will be an amazing photography conference. I was regretting big time not going, but then I reminded myself that 2014 is the year for Celine and to finally fulfill a dream and my #1 bucket list item. But you can bet that I’ll be making an appearance at United 2015!
Will I be wearing a gold sequin dress to the Celine concert? Yes, yes I will.
A few things about this past weekend (and week since there wasn’t a Words of the Weekend last Monday!)…
My parents got to visit this weekend from Maine and we went skiing at Mount Sunapee. It had rained Friday night then things froze over — the slopes had surprisingly good conditions, but the sun shining through the ice on the trees was absolutely gorgeous! Of course I had to take it as an iPhone photo opportunity.
So far I’ve booked 2 weddings for 2015! Woah baby, I’m loving how brides are so on top of it! One in Maine, one in Massachusetts… two beautiful venues. I’d say the KDP 2015 Wedding Season is already off to a great start! A destination wedding would definitely be something I would love to add to calendar in the near future… Know anyone having a destination wedding? Send ’em my way for special pricing!
Friday was one of those days that I didn’t get out of my PJs until it was time to get ready to go out for dinner. Corey texted me in the morning to tell me the roads weren’t great, so I used that as a great excuse to stay in my cozy clothes, drink too much coffee, and get lots of work done! Editing, PASSing, prints ordered– BOOM! Love a productive day! Anywho, I found a new favorite editing companion: Shoot & Share Videos (photographers, check it out HERE) This. is. gold. Shoot & Share has a collection of videos from the industry’s leading photographers giving amazing business & photography tips. And it’s FREE! Normally I have Pandora running in the background (Mumford & Sons mixed with Ed Sheeran is my go-to editing station) but listening to Katelyn James and Justin & Mary’s videos were especially inspiring while I was getting work done.
I hope everyone has a great week! There are some great things comin’ at ya on the blog this week… Including my first Bat Mitzvah I shot last weekend in Burlington, Vermont! Here is a little sneak peak :)
