This Monday morning calls for a Words of the Weekend! This part of my blog tends to slow down a little in the off-season but when you travel across the country for a long weekend, that calls for it!
Back in October I wrote a personal post about what’s next in my husband’s career and our life (if you missed it, you can read it HERE) and got an outpouring of support & new cheerleaders as we go through this exciting & nerve-wracking time of lots of uncertainty! Well Match Day is drawing closer and ’tis the season for interviews! Corey has applied for residency programs all over the country and this past weekend we travelled to Tucson, Arizona!
Let me just say, I am probably the most shameful photographer to ever walk the planet. I travelled to the other side of the country and only brought my iPhone for a camera. { Feel free to pause here to judge me } It’s awful, I know! But nonetheless I captured some of this weekend’s adventures in the desert on my phone, so it’s better than nothing… right?! Right.
Top Left: One of the best margaritas I’ve ever had! A strawberry-raspberry frozen margarita from Blanco. Which was located right next door to Kate Spade… Corey thought that was awfully “convenient.”
I also had my first In-N-Out experience! It did not disappoint. I’m still dreaming about those fries.
The mountains on the outskirts of the city were gorgeous! It was cloudy all day Saturday until the sun popped out right at sunset to light up the mountains… So pretty!
I love that top photo of us… even if it is a selfie :)
We saw these little critters at a desert museum we went to… I can’t help but giggle every time I see that prairie dog.
Definitely very different from the east coast! Follow along on Instagram for more #roadtoresidency adventures!
