I can’t believe this is the 30th Words of the Weekend post! Hope everyone isn’t getting tired of hearing about my weekends, thoughts & stories :)
I thought this week I would share a little about my week through an “insta-square” (I just made that one up…). Here are a few Instagrams & thoughts from the week…
– Top Left: It’s time. I got glasses last week. I first got glasses in college for driving at night, but the correction was so mild I barely ever wore them. But I think all the time I spend looking at a computer (and I wouldn’t trade that for the world!) has taken a bit of a toll on my eyes. So it’s not often I take a selfie (like, extremely rare unless someone else is in the picture with me) but I had to venture out over an hour to get these, so I was feeling pretty accomplished about these new glasses!
– Top Right: At the Katelyn James Workshop we all received a gorgeous Organic Blooms frame (and I was able to get one in my favorite color!) and I just got around to printing one of my favorite photos from Nantucket… I’m hoping the sight of these fresh blooms hanging in my house will get me through this winter!
– Bottom Left: This weekend was such a treat for me… I got to be a GUEST at a wedding! One of Corey’s best friends got married and I happened to have the weekend off from shooting a wedding of my own, so I was so excited to attend as a guest. One of my favorite parts was just sitting there during the ceremony and really being able to take in the words they were saying. It was just a beautiful reminder of how much I love my job & how lucky I am to get to photograph couples on the day they commit their lives to each other!
– Bottom Right: My handsome, best-man husband and I at the reception!
SNEAK PEEKS FROM THE WEEK
This week was a relatively quiet week, but it all led up to an engagement session in one of my favorite local spots! I met a great 2015 couple, Michaella & Pat, in Woodstock, VT on Friday afternoon. They live in DC but Michaella grew up visiting this area, and it really is a great destination for a wedding! We started their session at the Woodstock Inn, then drove around to their favorite spots around town, and ended at the covered bridge in Quechee, VT. It was so great to meet these two, and I can’t wait for their wedding next summer!
