I know it’s Wednesday and usually my Words of the Weekend posts come on Mondays, but here we are. It was a holiday weekend with LOTS of travel, so a mid-week post it is. Labor Day weekend has come & gone, which makes me feel like summer has come & gone. It was a busy, busy weekend on the road so I have lots of sneak peeks to share, but first– as always– a few thoughts from the week:
– This past week was pretty much one big tour of New England. It started with a trip to my hometown of Ellsworth, Maine to celebrate one of my oldest friend’s engagements. Then I landed this past weekend in Newport, RI for a wedding (just wait until you see these photos!). Then back to Maine for an engagement session, over to New Hampshire for a newborn session, then finally home to Vermont yesterday. Boy did my bed feel oh so good last night.
– Since I had lots of time in the car (and my carpool karaoke voice can only hold up for so long), I started listening to Rachel Hollis’ Girl, Wash Your Face. HIGHLY recommend as a good kick-in-the-pants, get-moving-on-your-dreams inspirational book.
– This weekend’s wedding was black tie and when that happens I try to dress up a little more than I maybe normally would to try to blend in. I happened to come across a black jumpsuit, but in the past have never found a romper or jumpsuit that I actually like. This one, however, fit like a glove and I think I’m hooked. It was SO comfy to shoot in! The best part? $20 at Marshall’s.
