Happy Monday! I can finally say that I feel like fall is here! Here in Burlington, VT there are still plenty of unchanged leaves but you can definitely seek out the beautiful foliage. A few thoughts from the week before lots & lots of sneak previews!
– This is one of the most picturesque times of the year in New England but also one of the busiest months for me… I literally feel like I’m just floating around New England but even just driving around is beautiful! I saw this photo on social media… So true!
– Being a wedding photographer is such an interesting job in that you need to be both an introvert & extrovert. I spend the majority of my weekdays alone working from home (I actually love my alone time!) but then on the weekends you need to be ready to jump in and direct large wedding parties & families and get right out there on the dance floor for the celebratory dance photos at receptions! It’s a crazy amazing job which makes me INCREDIBLY grateful for the great friends that I’ve made in this business. This Sunday I got to meet up with my friend Amy Spirito for a post-wedding brunch in Boston and just chit-chat about all things life & business.
– It’s such a mistake, but I leave a dish of candy corn out on our kitchen table because it’s a cute part of my fall centerpiece. Why is it a mistake? Because I have about zero self-control when it comes to candy corn…. I’ll just take one…. or ten. After coming downstairs a few mornings in a row to find candy corn smushed into the floor, I’ve also caught someone else red-handed with his paw in the candy dish… (we think Oscar might be going through his rebellious teenage years).
