Happy Monday from Maine! I had a wedding here this past Saturday then another one coming up this weekend, so I decided to stay for the week to avoid making that long drive twice. As always, a few thoughts from the week…
– Yesterday marked KDP’s 2 Year Anniversary! It’s been 2 years since I graduated from Hallmark Institute of Photography and officially started my own business. I say “officially” because I was photographing long before that as “KC Photography” but I consider when I graduated from school and really dove into the world of professional photography my official start!
– A belated Happy Father’s Day to all you dads out there! I realized late last night that I didn’t post anything on my personal Facebook page or Instagram about my dad but that’s because I was lucky enough to be able to spend time with both my dad & my father-in-law yesterday! It was such a treat! But here is a photo of me & my dad at my wedding during our father-daughter dance… I continue to treasure these photos so much.

– This wedding season has already been and will continue to be a LOT of driving! Just about every weekend this summer & fall I’ll be on the road for weddings and engagement sessions. A lot of people have recommended book-on-tapes, which I’m definitely going to try to get into, but I’ve also realized I need some pretty sweet playlists on hand. For all you 90s children, I think you’ll appreciate my “Throwbacks” playlist… Think middle school dances & high school jams.

I just had to post a photo of the cake because it was made by the wonderful Nikki Chan with florals by The Bud Connection, who both were vendors for our wedding! These two do some seriously amazing work!
