Kara and Chirs’s fall wedding at Hildene in Manchester, VT was equal parts fun and equal parts elegant. Their wedding celebration took place at the perfect time, just before the peak foliage. It was stunning!

Emerald Color Palette for a Fall Wedding at Hildene

This Boston couple met in high school and bonded over their love of skiing and trips to Vermont. They knew Hildene mansion was the perfect venue for their destination wedding. With views of the Taconic Mountains, Vermont charm, and a place for all of their friends and family to stay, you can’t go wrong.

When they had to postpone their original wedding date due to COVID, they decided it was best for them to get married in a small church ceremony on Boston College’s campus. However, they still got to have their big wedding day with their family and friends the following year.

Kara and Chris’s wedding had a classic white and emerald green color palette. The emerald details throughout the decor, stationary, and the bridesmaid’s dresses all looked beautiful. Instead of opting for a first look, they wanted the moment of Kara walking down the aisle with her dad to be the big reveal. It certainly was! They chose to have a vow renewal ceremony for their friends and family to witness their marriage while overlooking the mountains and foliage.

Perfect Venue for Fall-Foliage and Mountain Views

The Hildene is the perfect mix of elegant and romantic. Its formal gardens and a historical mansion, and incredible views, with fun, laid-back vibes. From start to finish, every one of their guests was thrilled to be celebrating this couple. Kara and Chris both love Taylor Swift, so they chose a song by her for their first dance. Kara even included a signed T-Swift album in her detailed photos for me!

The speeches had everyone laughing and the dance floor was PACKED all night. I love that Kara changed into a fun, short dress for later in the reception to be more comfortable dancing with her friends. At the end of the night, their guests sent them off with a streamer exit into an old-fashioned getaway car.

I can’t wait to capture the groom’s little’s sister wedding in November this year! It is always an honor to be welcomed back!
