I. love. second. shooting. Plain & simple. {Hint: there will be a blog post coming soon all about this!} Don’t get my wrong, I will always love my own weddings more because the bride & groom have become my friends and I love documenting their big day after seeing and hearing about all the hard work they put into it. But second shooting is so refreshing and a chance to take a different perspective for the day, capturing all the behind-the-scenes moments and finding extra time to think about how to photograph something differently than I normally would. This is the second wedding I shot with Melissa Mullen Photography at the Samoset this year, and it’s so fun to see how different couples create such different weddings within the same venue (see my photos from the first one here)! Matt & Olivia were so sweet and I kind of melted over the thick Maine accents & nautical theme of this wedding. Living in New Hampshire, I miss the ocean so I’m finding myself more & more drawn to any and all things nautical. Plus, these two were high school sweethearts, and that always makes me smile because my husband and I were too :)
Congratulations Matt & Olivia on your beautiful Maine wedding!
