This was a KDP first and I hope the first of many :) Back in the end of July, I got to photograph a PROPOSAL! When Corey proposed to me in NYC in 2010, he had a friend hide away and photograph the whole thing. Even though the images are blurry and pixely, I seriously cherish those images. So I was beyond thrilled when Alan contacted me to photograph his proposal to Martha… I felt like I could finally pay it forward!

My husband is good friends with Martha’s brother and we just love the Shoemaker family! At the end of July, I went down to their beach house in Long Beach Island, NJ where everyone was in on the scheme (except Martha of course!) Martha thought her and Alan were going out to dinner and that we were just going to take a few family photos on the beach beforehand. That’s when Alan popped the question and she said yes! Congratulations you two and thanks so much to Alan for asking me to be a part of this!

I stayed 2 days at the beach and so the next day we did more engagement photos at the lighthouse on Long Beach Island

And a gorgeous sunset to top it all off!
