This month on Featured on the First is someone who is very near & dear to my heart: my younger sister, Kinsey Crowley. Today, May 1, she turns 18 years old!! I will always think of her as my baby sister, but this year she is graduating high school from Northfield Mount Hermon and going off to Colby College next year. This year has been really great for us because this summer she was the best maid of honor a girl could ask for, and now the school I attend, Hallmark Institute of Photography, and her high school are only 15 minutes apart. I have been able to stop for dinners at her dining hall and attend her various school events like her ski races, dance recitals, and a capella concerts that I have had to miss in the past years because I was 3 hours away in Burlington, VT.
Kinsey has also played a major not only in my education at Hallmark, but a lot of my classmates. Being closeby, dependable, slender, and 5’10” has made Kinsey the perfect model for Hallmark students. She’s made an appearance in more than 10 students’ portfolios and has gotten to play many different roles–a skier, dancer, bride, high school senior, sheep herder, fashion model, and more. She has assisted me on shoots and helped set up many different photoshoots with the NMH community. This year definitely would not have been the same without her and I have been so happy & grateful that she’s played such a big role in my year at Hallmark.
Happy 18th birthday Kinsey! I love you very much and wish you all the best as you head off into your college years at Colby. I know you’ll always be successful in whatever you do, and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you.
Love, your big sister,
Kelsey
