Christine and Shawn decided to drive up to Lake Champlain from their home in Connecticut to take their engagement photos this summer! I’m so glad they did because we took full advantage of everything Vermont has to offer in this beautiful northwestern area.

Vermont Covered Bridge Engagement Photos

Together we planned out a route so that we could capture lots of Vermont’s different landscapes – the woods, covered bridges, streams, fields, mountains, and lake views! We started our session in Charlotte, Vermont, which is just fifteen minutes south of Burlington. We could take some iconic photos in front of a covered bridge. I love the casual and relaxed feeling of the couple here and that they just look like themselves. Plus – their German Shepard joined in on the fun!

Waterfront Engagement Photos at Lake Champlain

Next, we drove up to the waterfront in Burlington, Vermont, where we took photos along Lake Champlain. The tall green grass looked so beautiful in the background, especially against the light colors in their outfits. We finished the session with a glass of red wine at North Beach and a second appearance from their pup!
