A question I get asked a lot is what happens on a wedding day when it rains? Well when I arrived at to Woodstock, Vermont on the very first day of July, it was a complete downpour. But with the gorgeous floral design of Valley Flower Company, a quintessential venue like the Woodstock Inn, and a timeless & absolutely stunning bride like Julia– the rain was very forgivable.
I first met Julia & Matt for their engagement session at Shelburne Farms (see it HERE). When you see these two together it’s so easy to tell how much love they have for one another, which makes their love so easy & fun to capture. They celebrated their wedding day not far from where they live in a perfectly colorful day at the Woodstock Inn. While it was raining most of the day, Julia & Matt didn’t skip a beat. And with a few breaks in the rain & some clear umbrellas, we got some gorgeous photos that I absolutely love. Congratulations to Julia & Matt!
- It may have been raining, but these colors brightened everything up! How gorgeous are these florals?!
- Absolutely love these bridal portraits of Julia on the porch… how stunning is she?!
- A pause in the rain meant we could get a few wedding party shots outside!
- Another quick break in the rain for a few more photos in front of the Inn
- A little mid-reception rainbow for Julia & Matt :)
- And of course my KRP photo to end out the night!
