Molly & Niki | February 6, 2016 | Southern Maine
Well, this is the second time this has happened to me this winter… I’m getting very excited for a winter wedding but going into the weekend am a wee bit bummed that that ground is bare and there’s no snow. Then out of nowhere – BAM – a surprise snow storm and a GORGEOUS fresh coat of snow! That’s exactly what happened for Molly & Niki’s wedding this past weekend in Southern Maine. I had no doubt this wedding would be absolutely gorgeous. I mean, just look at how gorgeous these two are, PLUS it’s a Maine wedding (my home state, so it has a special place in my heart) brought to life by my sweet & amazingly talented friend Kate Dawson Events. But then the icing on the cake was a fresh coat of snow on Friday combined with beautiful sunshine on Saturday…. It was seriously a DREAM!
I met Molly & Niki for the first time in person the day before their wedding, and just instantly felt like we had been friends forever. They are so sweet and are just such a blast to be around…. not to mention up for anything!! On our way to the venue after the ceremony, the golden afternoon light was SO gorgeous that I pulled over a few times on the side of the road to put them in an enchanted winter forest :) It was so easy to tell throughout their wedding day that these two are so loved and I’m so lucky to have been a part of their winter wedding celebration! I would say 2016 is off to an amazing start!
When your day starts off with a sparkly diamond and a Mrs. Box, you know it’s going to be a great day.
I think gold glittery pinecones might be one of my new favorite details…
Molly was not the only one tearing up… First looks get me every time!
Ahh these two :) I had a perma-smile on allllll day!
A huge thank you to the wedding party who teared the cold with me for the portraits and with a smile on your face the whole time!
Cue enchanted winter forest photos…
How perfect is Molly’s winter bouquet?!
Hand knit hats? Probably the best wedding favors ever.
Table Topics is an awesome new game I just heard about over the holidays and having it at your wedding on tables is SUCH a good idea!
So many yummy treats :)
My first #kdpbrides photo of 2016 :) Cheers to kicking off my year in the best way possible!
