They say rain on your wedding day is good luck… I say, with good spirits & a positive attitude you won’t even notice it’s raining on your wedding day. Heidi & Andrew, two teachers, were so filled with joy being surrounded by their loved ones and the beautiful scenery of Vermont, that rain in the forecast was such a small piece of the day. I spent the first part of the day with Heidi & her close-knit family, where there was lots of laughter & preparation for the day, and where Heidi surprised her mom & sisters with dancing shoes for the evening. We traveled a short distance to Hildene, where Andrew & Heidi said “I Do” among a sea of umbrellas & loved ones. The rain stopped just in time for portraits in the formal gardens (thank youuuuu), before we joined their guests in the tent for an evening of celebrating. Let me just say…. this crew can DANCE. I think this might have been the longest marathon of a dance party I’ve seen to date. It’s pretty typical to see lulls in the dance floor throughout the night, but not with this group. The dance floor was filled from start to finish and it was SUCH a blast to be a part of. And then with a sparkler exit in the rain, the new Mr & Mrs were sent off. A big thank you to Heidi & Andrew for having me as a part of their wedding weekend… congratulations you two!
