Lauren & Chris | September 17, 2016 | Manchester, Vermont
Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home is one of the venues that I kept hearing about as this amazing Vermont venue, but had yet to have the opportunity to photograph a wedding there. So from the moment Lauren & Chris booked me as their wedding photographer, I had been looking forward to this weekend! Hildene certainly lived up to every expectation– everywhere you turn is a picturesque scene, whether you’re looking at the mansion, the gardens, or the views of the mountains. However, what was more important than the beautiful venue was Lauren & Chris. I met these two this summer for their engagement session in Boston (if you missed it, you can view it HERE), and by the time we were finished taking photos I felt like they were old friends. In fact, we finished their engagement session with a drink together, which in my opinion, is the best way to end a session :) Everything just came together so beautifully on Saturday… celebrating two great people, in a gorgeous place in Vermont, on a beautiful September day. Congratulations to Lauren & Chris and thank you for including me as a part of your big day!
I ask all of my brides to pack a box or bag full of details they would like photographed, and Lauren’s detail box was ON. POINT. Love these shots!
This was Lauren’s grandmother’s purse that she carried with her on her wedding day in 1952, so incredible!
When I came across this photo, I burst out into laughter :) Who can blame a dad for wanting to sneak some cell phone pics of his beautiful daughter on her wedding day?!
How gorgeous is this ceremony site?!
Haha this veil got swept away more times than we could count so when I came across this photo below, it was another moment of bursting into laughter :)
The light. The mansion. These two…. Total heaven!
A little cake cutting selfie… ;)
