Cara & Mark | April 13, 2019 | Brooklyn, New York
Let me tell you… this New York spring wedding was ONE FOR THE BOOKS. Where better to have a wedding in New York at the turn of spring than the Brooklyn Botanic Garden?! Ever since Cara & Mark mentioned that their wedding date should align with cherry blossom season in New York, I’ve had my fingers crossed that Mother Nature would deliver, and oh boy, did she ever. Cara & Mark said “I Do” in the courtyard of the garden, surrounded by their friends, family & the most beautiful blooms.
The first time I met Cara & Mark was back at Michaella & Pat‘s wedding in 2015. Cara was a bridesmaid, Mark was a groomsman, and they were not yet a couple. I took this (soon-to-be) famous photo of the couple, and the rest is history.
Cara approached me a few years later at Kate & Matt‘s wedding to tell me that I had taken one of the first photos of the two of them together (which of course MELTED my heart) and not long after that, she was e-mailing me with the exciting news of their engagement and spring wedding plans!
Cara & Mark had an incredible team for their wedding that made this spring wedding come together so beautifully. This classy & elegant affair incorporated both their love of travel and their love for their home in New York. It was such an honor to be there to document another wedding of this Georgetown crew.
