There’s no better excuse to make a trip back to my hometown in Maine than to photograph a beautiful coastal wedding! This wedding happened to be for an old friend from high school (we actually took a school trip to Mexico together way back in the day!) so getting to photograph a great couple in such a gorgeous area was a match made in heaven. While I of course love the mountains of Vermont, nothing quite gets me like the beauty of the coast of Maine. My older brother just got married at the Bar Harbor Club back in August, so I was excited to be back to this gorgeous venue with my camera in hand. Janeka & Jeff live in Boston (see their Boston engagement session HERE), so they used this opportunity to bring all their loved ones to a place that was very special to them. Surrounded by friends, family, and beautiful Maine scenery, the Mr & Mrs Doyle had such a beautiful wedding day!

One huge bonus of doing a first look is that it gives you the flexibility to take some time to take portraits somewhere else if you want… In this case, we were able to swing by the waterfront in Bar Harbor between the ceremony & cocktail hour for these AMAZING waterfront photos! The cloud coverage rolled in at the perfect time and my photographer & Mainer heart was swooning :)
