It always takes a special kind of girl to not let a little rain ruin your wedding day. Even from a few days out, it was pretty evident from the forecast that it would probably rain on the day that Haley & Joe exchanged vows at their Sullivan, Maine home. But that didn’t stop Haley from having her dream wedding–decorated beautifully with purple, ivory, & gold decor (great color combo!), wearing a drop-dead gorgeous gown, and marrying her dream guy, who is a local lobster fisherman.
Haley & Joe were such good sports about the rain, and even got out there for lots of great couples portraits. We had to take a few breaks on & off to hide under the umbrella, but it was so worth it! Congratulations to Haley & Joe on a beautiful wedding Maine wedding day, and thank you so much for inviting me to document your day!
That photo above might be one of my favorite ring shots to date!
Her dress was so stunning!
Beautiful florals as always by The Bud Connection, the same florist I used for my own wedding!
In the background of these portraits you can see Joe’s fishing boat!
These two were such good sports in the rain!
Haley had scouted out this location before the wedding… I love old-fashion swings & she loves big trees so it was the PERFECT location!
Loved all of these fall details!
This was probably one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever seen at a wedding… Haley’s father, with the assistance of Haley’s brothers, stood up out of his wheelchair to share a moment with his daughter during the father-daughter dance. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. Moments like these remind me what a blessing my job is to be able to document sweet moments like this for families.
