Almost two years ago, Lindsey & Pat’s wedding was coming to an end and Lindsey’s little sister, Mal, came up to me with a big smile (that I would come to know and love) and said, “When I get married, you’re going to be my wedding photographer!” Sure enough, in May 2015, Joe got down on one knee at Disney World and surprised Mal with a proposal complete with a gorgeous diamond ring (see below), fireworks, and Cinderella’s castle. It wasn’t but a few days after I saw the exciting news on Facebook that I got an e-mail from Mal asking me to be her wedding photographer!

Through photographing two weddings in the family, I feel like I have gotten to know Mal & Joe and their families well, which made photographing this wedding extra special. Mal and Joe said “I do” at the Coonamessett Inn on Cape Cod. This wedding was filled with gorgeous florals and the most adorable little kids, but was really a true celebration of two lives being united forever. Mal & Joe are high school sweethearts and have been waiting 8 years to exchange these vows. They were surrounded by 200 guests on this beautiful June day and had such a beautiful wedding day filled with lots of family, love & laughter.

Mal & Joe, thank you so much for including me in your wedding weekend on the Cape! So much love to the both of you and your families– I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon on St. Lucia!

This is such a beautiful family tradition… This is the 4th time (and last time) Debbie has been walked down the aisle by her dad. 1st at her wedding and then at each of her daughters’ weddings.
