Sarah & Atang | Stowe, Vermont | May 28, 2016
One of my favorite aspects of a wedding day is that it’s a chance for a couple to bring together people from all parts of their lives, and in this case– all parts of the world. Atang’s family travelled all the way from Botswana to witness Sarah & Atang say “I Do” on a beautiful spring day here in Stowe, Vermont. They exchanged vows in a luscious green Vermont field with views of the mountains in the background. It’s always this time of year when spring has just sprung, everything is blooming, and the landscape looks SO incredibly green!
Sarah & Atang met salsa dancing (so I knew the dance party would be epic at the reception, and it didn’t disappoint!) and have since supported each other as Sarah attended UVM Medical School and Atang attended the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. These two had a lot on their plate with wedding planning… They have two graduations and their wedding all within a few weeks of each other! But if anyone can handle that, it is Sarah & Atang. Their wedding really was a beautiful celebration of two worlds joining together, and it was so evident throughout the entire day that these are an amazing team that compliment each other so well. This Vermont wedding was the perfect way to kick off my 2016 wedding season… Sarah & Atang, thank you for the honor of capturing your big day!
How stunning is Sarah?! In love with this bridal portrait!
These bouquets from Silver Toad made for the perfect pop of color!
How adorable are these two?!
When my couples will venture into the woods with me for some portraits, it is SO worth it!
This couple. That landscape. These florals. Ahh, Vermont weddings you make my heart flutter.
Sarah & Atang personalized their reception decor with details from Botswana!
This maid of honor wanted to mix it up with her toast and SANG her own rendition of a toast to Adele’s “Hello” … So hilarious & so amazing, she had the whole room clapping along.
As if there weren’t enough amazing & beautiful things to photograph, there were so many adorable kiddos at this wedding!
Thank you to Sarah & Atang for stepping out with me for a few minutes at sunset for a few final portraits. I couldn’t resist with this landscape & the beautiful golden light!
It was such a sweet moment when Sarah got to share a dance with her 94 year old grandfather at the reception.
Sarah & Atang gave their guests a true taste of Vermont by passing on a traditional wedding cake and having a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cart instead… And I would say everyone (including me!) loved it :)
And of course, I always have to get a photo with my couples :)
