It’s the last Monday in August (and some would argue the last of the summer), which is CRAZINESS. This summer has been amazing, but has flown by per usual. I have a few sneak peeks below of my last August wedding, but first a few thoughts from the week…

– I absolutely LOVE country concerts and last Friday I got to see Old Dominion at the Champlain Valley Fair. There’s nothing quite like a country concert at the fair to cue up that summer nostalgia. Oh, and also fries & maple cotton candy.

– Last week on Instagram I gave an update on my New Year’s Resolution to read 12 books. How is your New Year’s Resolution going?! (oh, also if you have book recommendations, them ’em my way!)

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION CHECK IN TIME ✨⏱ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What did you promise yourself you were going to do or change in 2018? What steps are you taking to getting towards that? There are just over 4 months left in this year (😱), which means there’s still time to DO the things and make the changes you’ve been “meaning” to make, but no more time left to put them off. So this is me, being your accountability bud, your kick in the butt, your cheerleader to just get out there and do the damn thing already 👊🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My initial resolution was to read 10 books. You know why? Because my resolution in 2017 was to read 12 books and I didn’t hit it. So I lowered my bar. You read that right… I lowered 😐 my 😐 bar 😐 HOW LAME IS THAT?! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Note to self & to you: don’t you dare lower that bar. You’re better than that. So 12 it is and I’m just two books away! 🤗 Know that in setting goals for yourself, sometimes it will go better than others. There will be progress, there will be standstills, and there will be set backs. But push forward anyway… 💪🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ PS. Apparently I like reading books with blue covers? 🤔 Not all of these have been from this year, but my favorite book of the year has been “The Light We Lost” by @jillsantopolo 💕 Any recommendations for me based on these? 📚

– August was my Middlebury pride month! I realized that I’ve had 3 back-to-back Middlebury alumn this month.

When you think you’re just doing a cute exit photo, but then you realized your loved ones have surprised you with a surprise performance by a Middlebury a cappella group (these two LOVE a cappella, if you couldn’t tell by their reaction)
