It was the perfect day. Literally. It was May 31 in the quaint town of Woodstock, Vermont and the weather could not have been better (which isn’t always typical for a spring day in Vermont). Not too hot, not too cold. Nobody was rushed, laughter filled the inn, everything was lusciously green & in bloom outside. Sarah & Eli’s wedding day could not have gone smoother. Every small detail was thought out and taken care of with a personal touch. When the bride told me that she had attached her mother’s veil to her wedding dress as her train, I just about melted. When Sarah slipped into her low-back dress, everyone in the room just looked at her in awe. So you can only imagine how Eli reacted when he saw her for the first time at their first look. The love that Sarah & Eli have for each other and for the Lord is truly incredible. It was such a blessing to be able to document their day!
While photographing all the details of their day, I thought I had died & gone to photographer heaven. From the gold & greenery that covered the tables, to the apple pies that the mother of the bride baked, to the signature cocktails, to the delicate florals designed by a family friend… everything was gorgeous! I do have to admit that the L-O-V-E sign that Sarah’s family surprised her with before their wedding might be my favorite. I was a little bit obsessed. Just a little bit. While I love details, it’s the couple that always outshines everything else. Sarah & Eli’s reception was a true celebration of their love… it started off with a sweet first dance choreographed by a bridesmaid and ended with a sparkler exit as the bride & groom ran off to Jamaica for their honeymoon! After their getaway car pulled away, I thought to myself, “Nothing went wrong. It was perfect. That neverrrr happens.” From that moment until now, I have been SO excited to share this wedding! Thank you a million times over to Sarah & Eli for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day. I am so thankful that the couple from NYC who found me online have become such sweet friends!
Sarah & Eli designed their own invitations!
Absolutely love these robes! Robes for your bridesmaids makes an awesome gift & looks amazing for photos!
Sarah customized her mother’s veil that she wore on her wedding to make it work for a train for her dress– it was absolutely stunning & so meaningful.
Could she get any more gorgeous?!
This was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever had the honor of witnessing while photographing a wedding– Sarah’s bridesmaid prayed over her right before the ceremony.
This right here shows that doing a first look doesn’t take the emotion out of a groom seeing the bride walk down the aisle towards him. Eli, you had me teared up from behind the lens!
Some of my favorite first dance photos ever!
A big THANK YOU to my second shooter who came up from CT for this wedding, Jon Cospito Photography! I couldn’t have done it without you!
