Earlier this fall I had the opportunity to squeeze in a family session with the James family while I was traveling to Maine for a wedding. I was a little nervous we would have to compromise on the beautiful setting of Acadia because this was during the government shutdown, when a lot of the park was closed off, but we were able to shoot at this great spot in Seal Harbor that was not technically part of the park. It was an absolutely great beautiful morning with the sun shining by the ocean. Quite a change from when this family bravely volunteered last winter to help with me a Hallmark family portrait assignment in the dead of winter! Amy was my 8th grade teacher and Gabby, her beautiful daughter, was just a baby when I was her student (which makes me feel incredibly old). It’s always so great to see & catch up with the James family :)
