HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I actually woke up this morning and made sure to roll out of bed in time to see the reveal of the TODAY show & GMA’s costumes because there’s been so much hype leading up to it! Fun Fact: The TODAY show is how I start every morning :)

This afternoon I’ll be foregoing the costume to stay home to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters, which I find is kind of a fun right-of-passage into adulthood. I love seeing all of the cute little costumes & especially love it when I see little kiddos I’ve had in front of my lens before! Last night as I was packing candy into little bags, this little thief tried to steal some! He tried to be stealthy by army crawling under the table runner and just reaching his claw out to snatch a bag… Not subtle. at. all. Nice try though, Oscar.

Somebody is trying to sneak some Halloween candy… #notsubtle

I do have to say that while I don’t particularly love being scared on Halloween, I do love the CANDY! I kind of have a weak spot for candy & if it were still socially acceptable for me to go trick-or-treating, I would probably consider it. My brother & I used to dump out our bags of candy after we went trick-or-treating and trade candy with each other. Here are a few of my favorites!

1. Junior Mints: This is my movie theater go-to. Junior Mints, a large popcorn & a diet coke make any movie better.

2. Reese’s Miniatures: These are NOT the same as regular Reese’s or Reese’s Pieces. I don’t know what is different about them, but I could eat more than I care to admit in a sitting.

3. Swedish Fish: I try not to eat these too often because I know how horrible they are for my teeth, but sometimes I crave these & break.

Here’s a little throw back to my Halloween look in 1993. My favorite part of this costume? Not the adorable round pumpkin piece or the hat, but the fact that my pants are tucked into my socks AND I’m wearing socks with sandals. Breaking fashion rules since ’93.
