Lauren & Rustin | Ithaca, New York | May 2016
For two college sweethearts, what better place is there to do an engagement session than where your love story began? Lauren & Rustin met at their alma mater, Cornell University, in Ithaca, NY. Cornell is a beautiful old Ivy League college that sits on top of a hill. Between the old architecture & the views from the hill, the sentimental value, and this sweet couple, this engagement session was the perfect way to help kick off my busy season!
I had never been to Ithaca before, and traveling to new places is one of my favorite parts of my job! Ithaca actually reminds me a lot of Burlington, Vermont. Lauren and Rustin picked out so many great spots to go for their engagement photos, but the evening did not end after we wrapped up their session. These two took me around to all of their favorite local spots– starting with a beer at their favorite college bagel shop, burgers at a local ale house, and finishing with desserts and local wine from the NY Finger Lakes. I definitely feel like I got the complete tour of Ithaca :)
I’m so excited to be photographing their Vermont wedding next spring at the Ponds at Bolton Valley in collaboration with Jaclyn Watson Events! Lauren & Rustin, thank you so much for making my first trip to Ithaca such a great one!
Visiting all of their favorite college spots!
How gorgeous is this campus?!
Of course the best way to end an engagement session is with a beer from their favorite college hangout :)
