Annie & Luke | July 31, 2016 | Lake Placid, New York

I first met Annie the way I meet a lot of my clients. We e-mailed back and forth, met up to chat & answer questions, planned the engagement session… Yet, just in the first few months of knowing Annie we became instant friends. Annie & I both lived in Burlington and Luke and I actually knew each other a little from college. We lived in the same freshman dorm at UVM (Buckham represent!) and like anytime when you connect with someone from undergrad, you discover a ton of mutual friends. Annie & Luke’s wedding was a big collision of worlds because I am also close friends with their wedding planner, Jerica from Et Cetera Event Company (she’s amazing!), and on top of that my roommate was a guest because her boyfriend, Spencer, was one of the groomsmen… Like I said, a big collision of lots of friends from different parts of my life. So needless to say, their wedding was one I was looking forward to for lots of reasons.

The forecast was calling for rain on their wedding day right up until the night before. I had all my rain gear packed, but when I woke up on Sunday morning, it was nothing but sunshine & blue skies. It was the perfect foundation for their gorgeous wedding in Lake Placid, New York, where Annie & Luke first met. In fact, their first date was at the Lake Placid Lodge (heart melt)! They had their ceremony out on an island, we went on a boat ride in a classically beautiful Chris Craft boat, and these two danced the night away under twinkle lights. It was so dreamy & so perfect, and I wouldn’t have imagined anything less for Annie & Luke. I’m so honored I got to be there to capture it, and am so excited to be sharing it today!

Annie, you are so stunning my friend.

Ahhh I just LOVE mismatched bridesmaid dresses!

If you’re ever wondering if fake mustaches are good to have on hand at a wedding, the answer is yes.

I’m not sure who was more excited about this boat ride, me or Annie & Luke…

Oh my word, MODEL. STATUS.

It was this adorable flower girl’s birthday! And you can bet that she was sung to by all the guests…

As if everyone’s hearts weren’t melted enough from the entire day of sweet moments, Luke gave the sweetest toast to the guests & Annie.

And of course my #KRPcouples photo :) Can’t wait to visit these two in Chicago in the future!
