I have been so excited about this post for quite some time! Last year, I just did 1 big recap of 2013, but this year I’m splitting it into 3 parts! And today’s bit is a look at all the moments you haven’t seen yet… the behind-the-scenes photos! Putting this post together makes me both sentimental about all of the amazing weddings I photographed– I absolutely love my KDP couples and am beyond grateful for them! I seriously have the best job on the planet. But looking at these also gets me SO excited for what 2015 is sure to bring!

I would like to give a HUGE shout out to my second shooters who have captured these moments. And without further ado… a look behind-the-scenes at some KDP adventures!

It’s not uncommon to see my on my tip-toes taking a photo… Sometimes 5’3″ just isn’t tall enough!

An umbrella & attention getters behind my lens!

One thing I should warn all my future couples about… sometimes you might have a hard time keeping me off the dance floor! Especially when a gentleman named Charlie asks you to dance… You don’t say no.

“Bro Hug!”

See what I mean about the dance floor? :)

Gotta do what you gotta do for a photo!

This is what happens when one of your best friends from college gets married…

Corey got to attend 2 of my weddings this season as a guest!

When the sister of the bride asks you to take a selfie, you don’t say no! P.S. Canon 5D Mk III selfies are never, ever flattering.

Little impromptu dance with the father-of-the-bride… Lindsey, I love your family!

We had a ride a chairlift to Ellen & Tim’s mountain top ceremony at Sugarbush!

#KDPweddings

A goal of mine for 2015 is to get photos with ALL of my KDP couples! I always loved it when I remembered to do this at quiet moments of the reception… I seriously love all of you guys! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your special day, from the bottom of my heart.

SECOND SHOOTERS

To my second shooters… THANK. YOU. A. MILLION. Seriously, you guys are the best. I could not do what I do without you.

I had Jon Cospito, a Hallmark pal second shoot with me for Sarah & Eli’s wedding… thanks so much for making the trip up to VT!

If you second shoot for me, you’re not safe from light test shots getting put into this post at the end of the year :)

I also had Laci Frazier & Katie Hill from Hallmark second shoot with me at two weddings this summer… thank you so much to both of you for the behind-the-scene shots and for all of your help on those days!

But the person that I really need to say a huge thank you to is my right-hand-gal-pal, Sienna Clough. Sienna, words cannot express how thankful I am that you were able to second shoot so many of my weddings with me this year. On a wedding day, you are the second-half of my brain, being everywhere that I’m not and bringing me exactly what I need at the perfect times. I know I say thank you from all the KDP couples’ whose weddings you second shot, providing them with so many beautiful images & your calm presence on their wedding day. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

You’re such a champ about standing in for lighting tests :)

… And holding veils in the wind!

OTHER ADVENTURES

In June I headed to Chicago to capture Kate & Trever’s engagement session and fell in love with the city! And a big thanks to Aubrey Grace for assisting me in the windy city!

A big thanks to my gal pal Hannah Katz for capturing these behind-the-scenes shots of Colleen & Rob’s Boston engagement session!

This fall I headed to Virginia for a 2-day photography workshop with the amazing Katelyn James! I learned SO much in those two days and of course got to snuggle the famous Bokeh!

When you show up to a portrait session wearing the same outfit as your client, you have to get a photo! And on the right is a sweet little dude who felt like I had the best view at the house at Christina & Adam’s wedding, so he came to stand with me. And of course we ended up holding hands.

Phew! 2014 was such an amazing year… Who can believe it’s already over?! Now onto what promises to be a great new year :) Stay tuned tomorrow & Wednesday for continued looks back at 2014… Trust me, you won’t want to miss these recaps!
